Seaweed capsules, properties, benefits and price.

Use of seaweed capsules.

Cultures that have sea-based diets tend to be very healthy and long lived such as the Inuit of the Bering Strait or the Japanese. Japanese are among the greatest consumers of seaweeds, with about 60 different species being used and eaten, and developed many different ways of preparing them. Acting in line with what you could call the conventional wisdom of the past. Tradition has it that the food of the land should be blended with products of the sea.

Different diets lead to different diseases and have effects on vitality and ageing.  The understanding how dietary habits of different groups of people related to their degree of health?  There is a big difference for example between uptake of iodine in the countries that do use a lot of seaweed like Japan and other who do not.

Both clinical research and epidemiological studies, which compare the rates of diseases in populations with different dietary habits, point to Japan’s low rate of hart failure, obesity, breast cancer and healthy ageing  More people here in the West are  reaching a biblical age but mostly in a state of “ multi-morbidity”.

It  is no wonder seaweed has been part of the traditional diet of all coastal cultures, including the people of Japan, Korea, China, Iceland, Denmark, Wales, Scotland, Hawaii, and the South Pacific Islands.

In the old day’s the inland native peoples prepared to trade their most precious possessions for a bag of dried seaweed, carried on horse back, donkey or by human on there back from the coast.

The role of nutrition in health was recognized by the ancient Greeks - and probably also much earlier - who advised that food should be one's medicine. Especially Eastern cultures have for more than thousands of years used certain foods (e.g. herbs) as remedy. Clearly these early insights were based on simple observations that nutrition - aside from the obvious need to eat sufficient energy - has a direct effect on the health of the organism.

No place on earth has more hundred-years-old than the Japanese Island of Okinawa. It embodies the dream of mankind to grow as old as Methuselah. In line which tradition which states that the products of the land (power) should be combined with the agility of products of the sea.

Recent studies clearly indicate that Iodine might be the main reason for it. Iodine Is relatively rare substance in the soil on our planet and most plants do not need it. Uptake through the roots of plants more by accident than part of the process. However we and other animals do need it to live, without iodine no life.

However, those who left Okinawa, changing there traditional lifestyle, experienced a dramatic decline in vitality and life expectancy.

There was really no need to go abroad; when you travel to the south where the military bases are located and the” American way of live introduced” it is the same story. The youngest generation there is now the fattest in all of Japan, painful ageing and premature death common. One of the problems with modern medicine is that it can keep you alive but not restore vitality.

Use of seaweed to prevent chronic diseases.

In our modern society Ageing becoming a curse, the health care system failing. It was Nostradamous who predicted that sick people would line the side of the streets, dying and nobody to care. Many of us thought that this would be in an underdeveloped country, due to new diseases but not that it could be in the West, a man made calamity effecting the older ones. We now known that cancer is a new disease and now associated with the industrial revolution. Different diets lead to different diseases and effect ageing.

By comparing the dietary habits of Japan with the West and looking at the development of chronic diseases, Japan is doing much better. Both are industrialize nations and the consumption of seaweed one of the main differences.

The modern lifestyle (e.g. poor choice of foods, less physical activity) the primary cause of these so-called lifestyle-related diseases, the biological response to a faulty food/lifestyle system.

The key to bacterial dietary adaptation is continual exposure to the new food material.

Sea vegetables are anexcellent source of iodine and vitamin K, a very good source of the B-vitaminfolate, and magnesium, and a good source of iron and calcium, and the B-vitamins riboflavin and pantothenic acid.

The brown and red type seaweeds are rich in iodine. A mineral which is essential for the body &  life and is detected in every organ and tissue. Lay at the basis of our body chemistry, production of hormones, enzymes, proteins and almost all other substances, without it no life.
